At ECG Guitars we strive to provide our clients with handcrafted, one of a kind instruments that cannot be found in your local music store. Whether you are looking for a guitar with highly figured exotic woods being used or a beautiful multi-colored metallic finish to your instrument my job is to create a custom guitar any player would cherish for a lifetime.
I encourage my clients to be "hands on" in the building process by selecting their own woods, fingerboards, fret size, neck size, fingerboard radius, bridge style, electronics configuration all through my guidance and education regarding the building process at ECG Guitars.
Typically, we want our clients to be involved in the building process. However, at any given time we may have a few guitars or even just bodies ready to be completed that we would sell.
If you are interested in any of these instruments or or bodies to be completed, please feel free to contact us!

Built to be Played Hard
Our guitars have gone through rigorous hours of live shows and countless recording sessions. Throughout these trials we are confident you will be more than excited to become a proud owner of your very own ECG Guitars.
Brian Fuentes started his career in music as a guitarist for Sacramento's own Promising Tomorrow. From 2000-2007 Brian logged in close to 300 shows, a few short tours, endorsement deals and plenty of hours in the recording studio. Following the break-up of Promising Tomorrow Brian was asked to join FFG, a well known pop-punk/Alt band from Roseville, CA as their lead guitarist. FFG's first show with Brian was at the Journey's Back Yard BBQ Festival as an opening act for the highly accomplished band Switchfoot to a crowd of more than 10,000 people. Immediately, after joining FFG, Brian was thrown into the recording studio to start work on their Full-Length record, "Edge of the World".
During this time Brian, more often than not, would leave his own factory made guitars at home in-lieu of playing one of Jarret Haley's custom built guitars. Brian could not believe these were hand crafted by Jarret through the guidance of Duane Calkins, a middle school wood shop teacher at nearby Buljan Middle School. Brian had to see what this school was all about. One early Sunday morning during a holiday break was when all the guys went down to the school to meet Duane. Brian walked into the class, and to his surprise there were as many as 15 kids in the classroom on their own will cutting, routing, sanding, fretting and wiring guitars! It was that day when an obsession for building handcrafted instruments started and has now become a dream.
Please check out www.woodshoprocks.com to get some insight into this wonderful class that has gone onto 18+ other schools throughout the nation and more importantly through the guidance of Mr. Duane Calkins. Thank you Duane for giving the gift of music to thousands of people!
